News: 8:56 Foundation

by Adam Aiken

A King’s Lynn FC shirt signed by members of Thin Lizzy in 2012 is up for grabs in an auction, having been donated by Norfolk Rocks photographer Paul Hampson.

The Boys Are Back In Town shirt – which has been signed by Scott Gorham, Ricky Warwick, Brian Downey, Marco Mendoza, Damon Johnson and Darren Wharton – is part of an effort to raise money for Lynn-based non-profit 8:56 Foundation.

The group was set up after local man Lee Calton, 37, was lost to suicide in 2021. It works to raise awareness of mental health support available in Norfolk – where the suicide rate is above the national average – as well as reducing the stigma associated with the issue.

The shirt comes with a certificate of authenticity.
