Kiefer Sutherland’s postponed recent Norwich show will now be held towards the end of the year.

It will take place at the Waterfront on Monday, November 7.

The singer called off last weekend’s gig at the UEA – part of his Chasing The Rain tour of Europe – following the emergence of the Omicron strain of the coronavirus.

In a message to his fans about the postponement, posted on Facebook, he said: “I am very disappointed to have to announce that I have decided to push back and postpone our tour scheduled in Europe for January and February, due to the new variant in the covid outbreak.

“As much as I might want to play, there is nothing more important than the safety of you, our fans, my bandmates , my crew, and the venue staff.

“As soon as we have new dates, we will put them up. I hope you understand.”

Sutherland’s previous album, Reckless & Me, was a Number One hit in the UK’s Americana and country charts, and became the UK’s second biggest selling country album of 2019.
