Preview: Oli Brown & The Dead Collective

by Adam Aiken

Oli Brown returns to Norfolk next week, just days after releasing his latest EP.

Brown, who hails from near North Walsham, currently fronts Oli Brown & The Dead Collective, and they’ll be at The Waterfront Studio, Norwich, on Thursday, April 11.

The three-piece includes Sam Wood (Wayward Sons, Black Star Riders) and drummer Wayne Proctor (who has worked with something of a who’s who of musicians).

The four-track Epilogue EP released last week follows earlier EPs Prelude and Prologue.

Brown first made his name as a blues guitarist. He then veered down a heavier path with RavenEye before putting together this latest project.

The Dead Collective’s influences range from atmospheric rock and alternative rock through to blues, soul and roots. A debut album is planned for later this year.
