Preview: Slade

by Adam Aiken

The current iteration of Slade will be performing THAT song in Norwich just a week before Christmas as they make a return to Norfolk as part of their end-of-year tour.

The band, which features founding member Dave Hill on guitar, will be bringing their familiar catalogue of pop-rock hits to The Waterfront on Sunday, December 18 – with footie optimists perhaps looking forward to it becoming something of a World Cup winning party following events earlier in the day…

Over the past half a century, Slade – originally fronted by Noddy Holder but now with John Berry and Russell Keefe sharing lead vocals – have had six No 1s and a further 17 top-20 hits.

Their set is likely to peppered with tunes such as Cum On Feel The Noize, Coz I Luv You, My Oh My and Mama Weer All Crazee Now.

The Norwich show is one of five UK dates that the glam-rockers are playing in the run-up to Christmas.

Support will come from Sons Of The Seventies.
