Spear Of Destiny will roll into Norwich next week on the eve of their 40th anniversary.

The show at The Waterfront on Wednesday, November 30, will give fans in Norfolk the first chance to hear live versions of songs from the band’s recently released 15th studio album, Ghost Population.

Spear Of Destiny have had a revolving door of line-ups over the years, with their former members collectively making up something of a who’s-who of the UK music scene.

Founder member Kirk Brandon is currently playing with the longest-serving line-up to date, including Adrian Portas (New Model Army), Craig Adams (Sisters of Mercy/The Cult/The Mission) and Phil Martini (Jim Jones And The Righteous Mind).

Some of the tracks on concept album Ghost Population were written during the recent lockdowns while others date from as far back as 1986.

It’s been billed as “a journey through the evolution of society as much as it is the evolution of the band”.
