Preview: The Go! Team

by Adam Aiken

Indie heroes The Go! Team will be in Norwich this week as they mark the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough debut record.

Thunder, Lightning, Strike proved to be something of an unexpected success for what was originally a solo project by Ian Parton.

He expanded the line-up at that point, and although there’s been something of a revolving door when it comes to band members, singer Ninja and guitarist Sam Dook have been with The Go! Team since then.

They’ll be at The Waterfront on Thursday, February 8. Support will come from Memorials.

It comes ahead of a one-off show in London later this month when the Brighton band will play the debut album in full.
