Manchester-based trio The Hara have continued their five-year journey into the upper echelons of the alternative/indie rock scene this week with the release of their sixth EP We All Wear Black.
Combining the edgy with the anthemic, subtlety with raucous mayhem, The Hara have been showcasing their latest offering on a UK-wide tour which arrives at the Norwich Waterfront Studio on Friday.

Fronted by Josh Taylor and featuring Zack Breen on guitar with drummer Jack Kennedy, The Hara have built a reputation for high-energy shows, moshpit madness and searing riffs. With an eclectic back catalogue featuring alongside the new material Friday’s show promises a powerhouse set featuring material unafraid of tackling gritty issues.
Breen explained: “We want to show everyone that despite it all, despite what the statistics say, despite what people say or any of that social media acceptance bullshit, it really doesn’t matter.
“Thousands of people reject you for being different but there are 10 times over that amount who will accept you and who are feeling just like you. If people can become a part of such a glorious resistance through our music, then that’s our mission.”
It’s a bold mantra but The Hara have demonstrated on We All Wear Black they can fulfill the brief in style.
