Preview: The Hu

by Adam Aiken

The Hu are following up their triumphant slot at the Download Festival with a trip to Norfolk next week.

The Mongolian metallers will be bringing their traditional guttural singing and their unique take on the genre to the UEA, Norwich, on Wednesday, June 21.

They’ll be playing songs off their two albums – including last year’s Rumble Of Thunder – on instruments including the horsehead fiddle, the Mongolian guitar and the jaw harp alongside more “usual” instruments.

Founded in 2016, The Hu’s profile has risen hugely in recent years, and they have collaborated with likes of Jacoby Shaddix and Lzzy Hale as well as being invited to feature on The Metallica Blacklist.

Support at the show will come from Tau & The Drones Of Praise.
