County Louth outfit The Mary Wallopers are on their way to Norwich for the opening night of a UK and European tour to promote their debut album.

The folk band have already released two tracks from the self-titled record, and they’ll be at Norwich Arts Centre on Friday, October 28 – the same day the album drops.

The second of these songs is Cod Liver Oil + The Orange Juice, a Scottish number made popular by Hamish Imlach in the 1960s.

The Mary Wallopers are Charles and Andrew Hendy and Sean McKenna, although they are a seven-piece when they play live.

The album and tour are the culmination of several years of the Dundalk band treading the boards across Ireland, delivering their own twist on a bunch of traditional songs.

They have previously released an EP, A Mouthful of The Mary Wallopers.
